hes subject matter is Exotic .believed Artists should work from imagination also religious and spiritual themes he made portrayals of men and it was very important to him ,space and depth made use of flat space where background would be brighter then the foreground ,hes paintings were naturalistic and used flat colour .colour is symbolic and imaginative no modelling were re-represented ,hes brushstrokes were parallel and the composition had equal attention to positive and negative space which means no focal point seen in hes art.
