My 92 Lesabre broke the little security wire where it attaches to the ignition switch. Every time you turn the key, it flexes the wire. There was enough slack coming up the column for me to splice/solder back together. I had to take the steering wheel off and remove the steering wheel lock. Be careful with the airbag! You can probably find how to remove everything on this forum.
There are two thing that will cause this. One being the chip in the key is no good, or the security/anti-theft computer is no good. Try your spare key firts. If not, tow it to the dealership for the computer as it will need to be flashed and will be costly.
When the security light is on you can not start the car. It is a security feature that is designed to prevent a car thief to fail at stealing the car. Ensure the ignition key is clean, then make sure the black chip in the key is centered in key, ensure metal contacts on black chip are clean. Try starting car after security light goes out. A failed attempt will cause the security light to stay on for a few minutes, do not attempt to start car until security light goes out.
the car dont star not run ,i see before the stater and the starter is good but i dont no the car not start now and need the coil ignition diagram thank
i just had a similar problem well after changing fuel filter, plugs, wires, pcv valve map sensor(all was not the problem)i found it to be the crankshaft position sensor, changed it and the car runs like new hope this helps
Fuel pressure should be around 40. If the injectors are not getting power it will not start. Start with a crank sensor first.
hello how are you?
Light bulbs have always used watts.
Because its a 1988 Buick LeSabre
what can cause a 2002 buick lesabre to not crank
Illustrate how to jump start a 2004 buick lesabre
give symptoms: any noises (if so describe), is security light on dash on, etc.
if you have a chip in your key then the chip is bad
how do i bypass the security code on my 1995 buick lasabre because my key is bad and i dont want to pay 185.00 for a key
If you lights do not dim when turning key, then probably your starter.
My 2003 Buick Century also did that today and I couldn't start my car. Apparently the key for the ignition has been damaged somehow and won't let the car start. Try using your extra key to see if that helps.
On my 2002 I turn key to ON, but don't start, pump gas pedal 3 times, turn off key. Mark
car stalls backfires hard to start
it sounds like your neutral safety switch
the contact wires under the driver side airbag may be stuck
