Carpel tunnel syndrome.Tingling in the fingers can be caused as a result of inflammation in the wrist, this is a condition known as "carpel tunnel syndrome", people with Rheumatoid arthritis are particularly prone to this complaint, Inflammation puts pressure on the nerves that pas through the area at the top of the hand where it joins the wrist this inturn leads to a tingling sensation to the thumb side of the hand all the way across to half of the ring finger (lengthwise). This condition can be treated and should be seen to as soon as possible as it will lead to nerve damage and muscle damage in the hand if left untreated. Prior to treatment the best thing to do with it is to stop your fingers from curling into a fist, especially when you are asleep. Splint them some how. Ulna nerve compressionIf the problem is on the pinky side it may be the result of ulna nerve

compression This can be the result of the nerve being compressed above the wrist , the elbow, the shoulder or in the neck. Either way you should get it checked out as most of these conditions can be relieved and if left can lead to unnecessary damage to nerves and muscle.
