Hole in floor? Added by L024308 10-7-2008 I had this problem. If you open the hood you will find up toward the firewall where the cables enter the passenger compartment. It is up by the windshield on the far left and right by the fenders. GM chose to put tar in these corners to seal them from water entering. Depending on the attitude of the car when it is parked, rain water can collect in these areas. The tar in my Corsica was all cracked and allowed the water to enter and run down the inside firewall. I took regular roofing cement and thinned it out with mineral spirits them generously painted it into these corners. It stopped the water.
Passenger front cylinder is #1. Passenger rear cylinder is #4. Driver front is #5. Driver rear is #8. (And it's an engine not a motor.)
Depends on the engine. On Ford V8 it is passenger side front, on GM V8 it is driver's side front.
In the front of the block, driver's side.
under dash on driver side just in front of door .
Heater core. Most likely it is the heater core hose that's leaking. Do you smell some sort of antifreeze? Touch the water and see if it is slippery or not. Also it could be that there is a leakage from the window OR from the front thru the firewall - was it raining hard lately? The weep holes may be stuck or you have accumulated junk in the front vent holes and the water is overflowing somewhere where it should not.
under the floorboard in front of the driver seat
The switch to open the fuel filler door is on the floorboard in front of the driver's seat. Pull up.
FRONT SEATING AREA, DRIVER SIDE, UNDER DASH, MOUNTED DRIVER SIDE OF STEERING COLUMN. It is located under a removable panel on the left side of the floorboard on the driver's side (the 'kick panel') It is the vertical plastic panel.
Check for a worn or warped break rotor on the front driver side. You may need to replace the break pads and rotor.
green ..... but first check the color in your tank.. located right in front of your winshield driver side.. if no color ...not good. go have a flush done then fill with a 50/50 mixture antifreeze/water
If it's in the front floorboard and smells like antifreeze, then your heater core is leaking. If it's plain water, it may be the windshield. There is also a hose that drains the condensation that goes through the firewall. Make sure it's clear and has no buildup.
It got wet.
you will have coolant in your passenger front floorboard and when you turn your heater on your windshield will fog up
Could be 1) Leak under windshield 2) A missing/popped out bushing or rubber plug someplace in the engine compartment fire wall 3) A leak around wire harness between front driver's side kick panel and driver's door.
a hose or radiator may be broken. check your hoses and radiator. where is leak coming from?? front, right?? find general area and continue from there
Could be your heater core leaking - stick your fingers under the front edge of the carpet in the right front passenger area and see if its damp (caution : don't lick your fingers afterwards )
it is located approx, under passengers floorboard in front. good-day !
