I wish I could say I knew for sure, but I'm not absolutely certain, but I'm assuming Leonardo Da Vinci was religious, and mainly because of his painting, "The Last Supper." Is that not a huge clue? I wish we knew for sure, as I am trying to find out for this paper I am writing at school, but I guess this is one of the HUGE secrets surrounding Da Vinci. Maybe in the near future, some people will find out the truth. But for now, we can only guess, and my guess is that he was religious, but I'm not sure whether he was Catholic, SDA, etc. I hope this helped you some.

No, Leonardo of Vinci. The 'proper nouns' are Leonardo, Vinci so they both get capital letters, but not the 'of'.
Leonardo Da Vinci's birth name is Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci.
Leonardo had no surname in the modern sense; "da Vinci" simply means "from Vinci". His full birth name was "Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci", meaning "Leonardo, son of (Mes)ser Piero from Vinci."
