Leonardo's inventions were all conceptual - meaning he made drawings of it but didn't really build it.

He invented the parachute, the hand-glider, the diving gear, an army tank, an early bicycle, Musical Instruments, hydraulic pumps, reversible crank mechanisms, finned mortar shells, steam cannon, parachute several flying machines, scissors , helicopter, and an light hang glider. But most of his inventions were left unfinished.

He invented the helicopter, but he didn't build it. A few hundred years after Leo died the helicopter was built.
