Usually an addict! I can't think of a better word than crocheter, ugly though it is. You would say 'knitter' so why not?
I am a left handed crocheter and I simply follow the pattern is, only holding the hook in the left hand. The piece will end up looking the same as long as you are paying attention.
Very little. Unfortunately, people don't want to pay enough for most crocheted items to cover the cost of yarn, yet alone your time. Enjoy it as a hobby, but don't expect to make money doing it unless you are good enough to become a contract crocheter for a designer or publisher, or are a designer yourself. Even then, it's no way to get rich!
We call such people architects.
You cannot call her or write her - she is dead now.

Crochet comes from the French word for hook so the title would be crochetier, but for the non-French speaking, crocheter will do. I still like it better than sewer for "someone who sews." I'm calling myself a "crochetist". I made that up though. ;) Actually, I would like to know the answer to this question myself!! I have always used the term "crocheter" (similar to knitter, quilter etc.) When I googled crocheter, it did come up in the free online dictionary. I always liked hooker, but crocheter is correct.

The shrimp stitch is another name for the reverse single crochet. It goes by many names. It is essentially, for a right handed crocheter, working your crochet stitches from left to right, rather than from right to left.
I am a talented crocheter myself and I think bernat.com is a very good website for kids if they want patterns. I hope they learn to crochet great thinks. www.lionbrand.com has patterns for kids and an email sent out every so often if you sign up for it.
