I used to sell items like this and we called them "berry bowls". They are used to drain berries and store them in the fridge. I was always told that berries last longer if stored in a pottery bowl that surrounds them with more coolness. I did an experiment with a plastic bowl and a berry bowl and found that the strawberries in the pottery berry bowl seemed fresher after several days. Also air was allowed around them to discourage mold.
Although all 16mm film is 16mm wide (Surprise!), the original format had sprocket holes on both film edges. The sprocket holes in movie film are used to properly register or position the film for shooting and projection. The Super-16 format only had sprocket holes on one edge which allowed for larger image area and somewhat better projection quality.

THERE ARE 2 SMALL HOLES ON EACH OUT SIDE EDGE OF THE FRONT OF THE RADIO STICK THE U SHAPED TOOL INTO THE HOLES AND PUSH THE TOOL TOWARDS THE OUTER EDGES IT WILL RELEASE THE CLIPS AND PULL FORWARD THE RADIO WILL SLIDE RIGHT OUT
The holes represent the bubbles of trapped and expanding gas that was present in the solidifying lava. They were essentially frozen in place.
Holes that form by huge blocks of glacier and that have been burrowed into the ground are called kettles. There are many types of holes.

Sort of. Its usually very small and flat, with a starfish imprint in the center and 5 holes along the edges. Shells can be any number of shapes and sizes. I suggest googling images for both.
The two pieces of wood that are to be joined together have holes drilled in them the right size of the dowels. The holes are drilled to line up perfectly so that the dowel slides in the holes and lines the edges of the wood to match up.
black holes don't really have color... they just named it "black hole" because no light can escape from it... neither do anything else, for that matter.
