PPSR requires the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or chassis number, not the engine number.
If your check engine light is blinking that means an engine cylinder misfire has been detected . You can drive it in for repair , just avoid any rapid aceleration or deceleration because you can damage the catalytic converter
Is the engine tapping when running? If not, check the oil level. If the oil level is at the full mark on the dip stick, then check the oil sending switch. My just need to replace it. Easy fix if that is your problem.

1st thing to check is the spark. Remove a spark plug from the engine and plug it to the spark plug boot. Touch the plug to the cylinder head and crack the engine. Should see spark at the tip of the plug. If no spark, 2nd thing I would check is the crank position switch. It is located on the transaxle bell housing.

Hi, there can be a number of thing that cause this. your idle is to low, spark plugs, wire is loose, and check the Flo meter if you don't know where it at. it will be just before the air filter
