Arthropods, i think are usually scavengers and they feed on the dead. Arachnids (Insects) either eat other insects, much smaller to them or they eat dead stuff. Marine arthropods feed on the dead too...!

They can catch it with pincers (crustaceans, scorpions), fangs (Spiders; they don't eat through their fangs, there's a small toothless mouth behind them! fangs are just for inserting venom), or legs or another structure, but they all eat through a mouth. The mouths of mosquitos, butterflies and moths, and true bugs have become tubes, but they're still mouths.
