There is no precipitation during droughts. Water becomes scarce.
Water is scarce in the region and therefore a precious commodity. Control of the existing water sources such as rivers can cause political problems when one country diverts water sources that are also needed by other countries.
No...all reptiles are exothermic. This means they get their heat from an outside source such as the sun. This is needed in order to maintain the proper temperature for metabolizing food. This is why, when food is scarce and light is not as available (winter), they hibernate. They don't have the energy to digest food(if they find it) in the low sun conditions.

Any resource necessary to the survival of populations in an ecosystem may or will become an abiotic factor.
Space is a limiting factor for a population because when the population starts growing then there won't be enough space for all the organisms so then some of the organisms have to leave that area and find a new habitat.
