da Vinci the scientist observed nature and systematically recorded his observations. He studied every detail of the human body by dissecting corpses. In his study of animals da Vinci focused on the mystery of flight. His copious notes covered a vast range of topics from the sun, moon, and stars, to fossils and flying. His works provided a base for scientists to work from for centuries. During the Renaissance, math and science went hand in hand, thanks to the Greeks. da Vinci, along with other artists of the day, used geometry to produce a new style of painting, a style that allowed the observe to see the scene as in real life. This developed into the concept of perspective, which used light and depth perception to depict a 3D scene on a 2D surface.

Leonardo da vinci had a different way of painting with mixing colours. He did not put eyebrows on his painting. He changed the way people painted and made sculptures. He was famous for the way he used light in his portraits. It seemed as if you could see into the soul of the paintings.

Addition:

Experts do not agree why Mon Lisa's eyebrows are missing, they may have been there to start with.

Leonard da Vinci was a great influence on world history, not just European history. His art and inventions caused great controversy and talk that allowed growth in both science and art. His most famous paintings, Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, captures a period in art that many artists never embraced. It still causes conversation and much discussion about who the real Mona Lisa was and its purpose. His discoveries in anatomy increased medical progression, along with his inventions such as "the flying machine" and others. He inspired many things e.g., The Da Vinci Code series.
