HPV (human papillomavirus) is a sexually transmitted virus. It is passed on through genital contact (such as vaginal and anal sex). It is also passed on by skin-to-skin contact. At least 50% of people who have had sex will have HPV at some time in their lives.

How do you maintain net positive suction head of a pump?

first of all the term NPSH should be clear. It is pressure which should be available at the eye of the pump impeller,so as to avoid vaporisation of liquid. Second which arises ,how this liquid will vaporise?Ans-if a vapour pressure of a liquid falls at constt temperature or temperature of liquid is raised at constt pressure it vaporises. In case of pump it's mostly the first case. Now,how to manitain NPSH. NPSHa> NPSHr (always) where NPSHa= available NPSH NPSHr = Required NPSH NPSH = Hps+Hsl-Hvp-Hfl Hps= pressure acting on the eye due to pressure in the suction drum. Hsl = pressure acting due to height of liquid in the suction line. Hvp= vapour pressure of the liquid Hfl= head loss due to friction losses Thus, to maintain the NPSH, variables in hand are,Hps and Hsl.increase the height of the suction line or increase the pressure of the suction drum.

What is serrapeptase and what are the benefits of this herb. Do you recommend it.?

Serrapeptase is a powerful proteolytic enzyme. Compared with trypsin and chymotrypsin, the enzymolysis is stronger, and it is used clinically to reduce phlegm and increase antibiotic action. It is a neutral protease, extracted from Bacillus subtilis by fermentation. It belongs to an endonuclease and can be used for various protein hydrolysis treatments. Under certain temperature and PH value, this product can hydrolyze macromolecular protein into amino acid and other products. It can be widely used in the hydrolysis of animal and plant proteins to produce HAP and HVP that produce high-quality seasonings and food nutrition enhancers. In addition, it can also be used in the processing of leather depilation, softening, and degumming of wool and silk. Learn more at Creative Enzymes.

Does bacteria grow in flour?

Yes, bacteria can, and do, grow in flour. Two of the most common types of bacteria which can grow in flour are salmonella and lactobacillus, each of which have many different varieties (strains).Salmonella is a bacteria which causes illness, and sometimes death, when ingested (eaten). Salmonella can also be present on vegetables grown in infected soil, and is the root cause of the recent (2010) recall of HVP (Hydrolized Vegetable Protein), a food-additive product manufactured by Basic Food Flavors Incof Las vegas, Nevada, U.S.A. The best way to remove salmonella is to thoroughly wash all vegetables and fruits (including "safe" items such as pre-packaged salads) and, when possible, thoroughly cook foods before eating.Lactobacillus is used to ferment wheat and other flours to make sourdough, a type of bread. Lactobacillus, when used in sourdough, generally not harmful to humans.

Explaining the Gluten-Free Diet?

Going gluten-free is more popular with recent news that celiac disease, an autoimmune disease to certain grain-based ingredients which affects the lining of the small intestine”, is becoming more prevalent. Some have also suggested that adopting a gluten-free diet can also aid in weight loss. The diet can be difficult due to the prevalence of wheat in many common foods, but here are some general guidelines for the gluten free diet. The main three grains to avoid are wheat, rye and barley. At one time, oats were thought to contain some gluten, but now it is thought that they are safe as long as they are not processed on equipment shared with foods that contain one of the top three gluten-containing grains. Safe grains include corn, potato, rice, soybeans, tapioca, arrowroot, carob, buckwheat, millet, amaranth, and quinoa. Bread and grain foods, such as cereal, rolls, biscuits, pizza dough, waffles, and snacks like crackers and pretzels are obvious sources of wheat. But keep in mind that other foods may use ingredients such as hydrolyzed vegetable protein (HVP), malt or malt flavoring, modified starch or modified food starch, vegetable gum and soy sauce may also contain gluten. In addition to searching labels for the words “wheat, barley, or rye”, also check for ingredients that include terms such as “stabilizer”, “starch”, “flavoring”, “emulsifier”, “hydrolyzed”, and “plant protein” which indicate the presence of wheat. When purchasing foods, the best diet for avoiding gluten includes fresh meats, fruits and vegetables. The less processed the food, the less likely it is contaminated with a gluten-containing ingredient. For meat and meat substitutes, go for those that are not breaded (unless breaded with pure cornmeal, potato flour, or rice flour) and do not contain fillers (such as bread crumbs in meat loaf or meat balls). Also beware of cold cuts, hot dogs, and meat patties which may contain gluten grains. Most milk and milk products do not contain gluten, such as whole or low fat dairy milk, buttermilk, cream, whipping cream and aged cheeses such as cheddar or swiss. Beware of sour cream, commercial chocolate milk, non-dairy creamers and yogurts, as these may contain gluten ingredients. Watch out for sauces and gravies as these typically are made with wheat unless specified otherwise. Thickening agents for cream sauces, for example, are typically wheat starches. Ask for vegetables to be freshly baked, boiled, or steamed without added sauces. Margarine and butter, however, are usually safe, but read labels carefully on salad dressings and mayonnaises. Seasonings to watch out for include synthetic pepper, brewer’s yeast, and yeast extract. Also check curry powder, seasoning mixes and meat extracts carefully. Most snack and dessert foods contain gluten unless they are specifically made for those with celiac disease. Puddings, custards, ice creams, and chocolate should all be checked for the presence of thickening or flavoring ingredients that are made with wheat. Foods on the “safe” list include gelatin, fruit ices, and carob. Will a gluten-free diet help you lose weight? Diets that limit food choices do often produce weight loss, but it is through a reduction of calories and not because the diet is “gluten-free”. [video=]

What happened to koko pimentel's senatorial protest?

Ducky Paredes Columns from Malaya and Abante - Edition 2009 - 291Skip to contentHomeAboutKoko and Migs"Thus, the 'absurd' Zubiri claim of having been cheated in 18,316 precincts would assure that Migs will complete the six-year term of a Senator even when, clearly, Koko Pimentel should be sitting in Zubiri's senate seat!"by Ducky ParedesThe latest count by the Senate Electoral Tribunal (SET) in the electoral protest filed by Aquilino "Koko" Pimentel III against Sen. Miguel "Migs" Zubiri gives Pimentel a commanding lead of 65, 261 votes over Zubiri. This was in the 2007 elections, when Migs took the last slot with Koko in 13th place. Now, after the Senate Electoral Tribunal finished counting the ballots in the 644 pilot precincts in nine Mindanao municipalities identified by Pimentel as those where the count was erroneous, Koko is actually much ahead. When Zubiri was proclaimed, he held a lead of 19,292 votes over Pimentel, but his lead was down to 17,251 after Pimentel gained 773 votes from post-proclamation special elections and 1,268 votes more due to errors found in the ARRM regional vote total.Pimentel's camp reached the net gain of 65,261 votes from the 644 pilot precincts - Zubiri lost a total of 69,177 votes and 3,916 votes was taken from Pimentel.Koko says that, based on their projections, he also stands to gain additional votes of 31,097 in Sultan Kudarat, 3,422 votes in Matungao, Lanao del Norte and 4,032 votes in the ninth pilot municipality of Tapul, Sulu. All of these are from the precincts identified by Koko Pimentel as those where he was cheated,Now, the SET must look at the precincts identified by Migs Zubiri in his counter-protest. The SET is a long way off from finishing their count in the 18,316 precincts that Migs wants counted. This is 18 times the number of precincts protested by Pimentel - 644 vs. 18,316!Koko says that the Zubiri counter-complaint is "absurd." Of course, it is; sadly, this is allowed by the rules of the electoral tribunal. Based on his claim, Zubiri, having been given only 84 days to present his evidence by the SET, has asked for 620 days! Not counting weekends and holidays when the canvassers will not be working, this will mean that the canvassing will not end until the last few months of the term that, in Pimentel's reckoning, should have been his. Thus, the "absurd" Zubiri claim of having been cheated in 18,316 precincts would assure that Migs will complete the six-year term of a Senator even when, clearly, Koko Pimentel should be sitting in Zubri's senate seat!"How would Migs do that? All he needs is for his lawyers to file motions for reconsideration, temporary restraining orders (TRO) and such for him to complete the six-year term of a Senator. Koko's supporters argue that while a congressman shut out of his congressional seat is already a scandal, imagine that a senator represents not just one congressional district but is voted on by the whole nation; thus, 90 million persons are disenfranchised and under-represented because of Migs' delaying tactics. Then, there are also cases of electoral fraud mentioned in the resolutions of the Senate Electoral Tribunal, which is composed of three justices of the Supreme Court and six senators chosen on the basis of proportional representation of political parties, represented in the. Senate. The poll frauds pinpointed by the SET based on Pimentel's counter-protest were all committed in the provinces of Maguindanao and Lanao del Norte allegedly by fake voting syndicates.SET Resolution's No. 07-27 dated July 17, 2008 ruled that 98.15% of the ballots cast in the first six of the nine pilot municipalities identified by Pimentel were found to be spurious and were thus nullified. In Sultan Kudarat, a syndicate was found to have emptied 197 out of the 198 ballot boxes. The 198th ballot box contained 11 fake ballots. Wails Pimentel: "The facts speak for themselves. There were 39,327 registered voters in Sultan Kudarat, 37,904 of whom allegedly voted, of which 33,888 allegedly voted for Mr. Zubiri. But where are the ballots? They are all gone."The Senate and the country as a whole should learn a lesson from these massive electoral frauds. If the country is to have clean and honest elections in 2010, the SET should immediately decide the Pimentel-Zubiri case to make sure that the lessons learned will be better appreciated. The SET would be showing its patriotism and fidelity to the Constitution and our democratic principles if it decides the Pimentel-Zubiri case as soon as possible. One problem may be that the SET as in HRET, in the Congress, are beholden to the protesting parties. As long as one party can produce the funds for the recount wherever he wants a recount, the SET and the HRET are duty-bound to accept recounts in these areas. Thus, when in the face of a clear loss, one party calls for recounts even in areas where he has clearly lost - fair and square - the SET cannot do anything but allow the unnecessary recount.Still, Pimentel wondered what additional evidence Zubiri could possibly produce when the ballots in his own counter-protest failed to support his claim of being also a victim of poll fraud."If the ballots did not show any fraud committed against him (Zubiri), then what other evidence could possibly show the alleged fraud? I believe nothing can and nothing will," said Pimentel in a power point presentation to media."For in reality, Zubiri was not cheated. For in reality, Zubiri was the beneficiary of massive systematic cheating."* * *"I would prefer even to fail with honor than to win by cheating." ~ Sophocles# # # #hvp 07.23.09)Readers who missed a column can access www.duckyparedes.com/blogs.
