Gaudy, ostentatious, overwrought, flamboyant. Baroque generally refers to a style of art (music, architecture, fashion, etc.) popular in the late 1500's to early 1700's. Not all Baroque art is bad, but taken to an extreme it is hard to distinguish between sincere examples and parody. Think Liberace playing an over-the-top gilded piano, while dressed in period garb and that about catches it.
