By "cardiac thump," I am asuming you are referring to what is known as precordial thump. A precordial thump is a medical intervention used when a person has a witnessed cardiac arrest and no defibrillator is readily available. The thump is actually a blow to the mid-sternum with the physician's hand. A closed fist is held about 12 inches from the sternum; it is then used to suddenly strike the chest with the medial portion of the hand. This actually generates some electrical activity, around 5 joules, and has been shown, in some cases, to convert a lethal heart rhythm back into a normal rhythm.

The cardiac sounds (typically described as lub-dub) are caused by the closing of the cardiac valves. The first sound (lub) is caused by the closing of the mitral and tricuspid valves and the second (dub) is caused by the closing of the aortic and pulmonic valves.
A pre-cordial thump is delivered to a patient in cardiac arrest in an effort to counter ventricullar fibrillation and restart the heart. It should only be delivered if the cardiac arrest was witnessed AND a defibrillator is not immediately available.
Your heart makes the thump thump
According to the Song "Frosty the Snowman" The sound he makes as he ran through the town was: Thumpety thump, thump, thumpety thump, thump! Thumpety thump, thump, thumpety thump, thump, look at Frosty go. Thumpety thump, thump, thumpety thump, thump, over the hills of snow.

thump, thump, thump:)
A thump word can be used to add emphasis or intensity to the sentence. For example, "The car came to a sudden thump as it hit the pothole," where "thump" emphasizes the abruptness of the car hitting the pothole.
"thumpity thump thump thumpity thump thump look at that snowman go, thumpity thump thump thumpity thump thump over the hills of snow"
