As an analogy, stand directly in front of a mirror. Note what you see. From the center position, step one foot to either side and note what you see in the mirror. Every position gives a different perspective, though the mirror remains the same, and so do you.
Issue 1 example:
At 20 years old, you think the government should give free college education to everyone. However, by as 40, you decide that no entity "owes" anyone anything in life. What changed is your perspective.
Issue 2 example:
Your friend's uncle firmly believes in the Second Amendment, the right to bear arms. He bought over 130 rifles and handguns. He boasted about his collection. One day, he was going to clean a handgun but had to go to the bathroom first. While in that room, his 4 yr old grandson got a hold of the gun--- and shot his 3 year old brother! Your friend's uncle vowed to never own more than 1 hunting rifle. He kept it locked up and kept the room locked. His perspective changed after the tragedy.
Issue 3 example:
John, age 14, decided to help his mom, who was ill. He put dishes in the dishwasher, cleaned the table, and straightened up the countertop. He didn't know where to put some things, but he did the best he could. His dad came home and started screaming about the mess in the kitchen. His mom, though, saw how much John had done. Matter of perspective!
Perspective is the way you look at things in the camera's frame. It's the way the photo looks at a certain angle.
