There is no set admission price. Rather, there is a "Suggested Donation" (or "Recommended Donation") of $25 for adults, $17 for seniors, and $12 for students. Children under 12 are admitted free.
The "Suggested" or "Recommended" part means you can pay whatever you want to pay. You can donate one penny, one dollar, five dollars, one hundred dollars, etc. Each person can donate however much they choose. It's a non-profit organization, but every cent is appreciated.
All Smithsonian museums are free to the public. You are welcome to leave a donation if you would like.
