There is a difference between rainforest and jungle, though this doesn't have much to do with rainfall. Jungle areas typically surround rainforest areas, and have a key difference that has little to do with climate. The biggest distinction is that rain forests have an incredibly thick canopy of very tall trees. This means there are far fewer plants at ground level. Trees block out much of the light that would be required by most plants to thrive, so you will usually only find shade loving ground plants in rain forest areas.

When I think of an "African safari", what comes to mind is seeing the migration animals (e.g. wildebeest, zebras) and the big 5 (lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo and rhino) in the savanna (grassland with few acacia trees), such as the Serengeti in Tanzania. For jungle, I think of gorilla tracking in Uganda or Rwanda, in thick dense forest.

they both have different adaptions and desert animals are use to not eating or drinking and they are use to the heat

rain forest animals are use to shelter, shade, eating most of the time and most probably sometimes coldness because of the shade and rain

hoped that helped!

In general, the main difference between deserts and tropical rain forests is the amount of rainfall.

Deserts are characterized by low rainfall, higher temperatures, nocturnal animals (because the days are too hot), and plants that produce many seeds (because they only grow when it rains, which isn't often).

Tropical rain forests are characterized by 11-12 hour long days (because they are located along the equator), a lot of rain (hence the 'rain' forest), and ti=ons of diversity, withing plants and animals.

Deserts are dry and hot environments.

The desert has plants that other ecosystems don't have because the plants have to survive a long time without water.

The desert gets less than 10 rainfalls per year.

Tropical rainforests have more plant life.

The tropical rainforest is moist.

The tropical rainforest has bigger animals because it has enough food to fill them everyday.

In the rainforest there are lots of streams and in the desert there are streams but they are probably a few miles apart.

Tropical rainforests get more than eighty rainfalls per year.

What is a tropical rainforest?

The tropical rain forest is a forest of tall trees in a region of year-round warmth. An average of 50 to 260 inches (125 to 660 cm.) of rain falls yearly. Rain forests belong to the tropical wet climate group. The temperature in a rain forest rarely gets higher than 93 °F (34 °C) or drops below 68 °F (20 °C); average humidity is between 77 and 88%; rainfall is often more than 100 inches a year
