A little night music is the title in English. It is implied to be ironic as night music is soothing to children and this is so obviously a dark piece. As seen in the blonde figure's hand, she has fought the sunflower, pulling off a petal. The darker haired figure has her hair spun like the sunflowers' tendrils. They have both been put into a state of trance, where the flower has made them at ease, as though they had defeated it. Seen also in the painting is an open door, a symbol of hope, the color yellow, and a hand near the staircase. A wonderful painting.
