1.Fossils were found of the same species that they could not live today.
2.Scientists could fit the pieces together much like a jigsaw puzzle.
3.Glacial forms have been found in different continents that are similar.
Continental drift theory was proposed before the discovery of the mid-oceanic ridge, when it was hypothesized that the continents were actually plowing through the oceans. This theory was an attempt to explain the commonality of fossils on opposite sides of the Atlantic Ocean, and the observation on maps of the Earth that the North American and South American continents appeared to have been pulled apart from Europe and Africa. With the discovery of the mid-oceanic ridge, where new crustal plate is being created, and subduction zones, where plates are being destroyed, plate tectonic theory was born; that the crust of the earth is divided into many segments that are in constant motion, that the oceanic crust is constantly being recycled--all driven by heat from the Earth's interior. Plate tectonics is now nearly universally accepted as scientific fact, yet questions remain to be answered on some of the mechanisms of the process.
Pangaea (also Pangea) was the collection of all land masses on Earth around 250 million years ago, which broke into the current landforms through continental drift. Pangaea is from the Latin for "entire Earth".
The Earth Wind and Fire theory was proposed by the American musician and bandleader Maurice White, who co-founded the band Earth, Wind & Fire in 1969. The group's name reflects the elements of earth, wind, and fire, symbolizing a connection to spirituality and nature. While not a scientific theory, the band's music and philosophy often incorporated themes related to these elements.
The first three are already know to you: #1 Width #2 Length #3 Depth #4 is Space/Time it is a combination of space and time, but at high energy states they can be separated. The remaining 7 dimensions are not yet named or discovered, but string theory predict them using math. They are so small they cannot be seen, but gravity seems to work through them. They could be quantum dimensions and the reason why quantum theory has different laws than general relativity theory and larger scales.

Another name for the Continental Drift theory is "Plate Tectonics." This theory explains the movement of Earth's lithosphere plates over the asthenosphere.

continental drift theory
Alfred wegener came up with the theory of continental drift, when all of the continents were together as one the landmass was called Pangea
The theory that led to the theory of plate tectonics is called continental drift. Proposed by Alfred Wegener in the early 20th century, continental drift suggested that continents were once joined together and have since drifted apart to their current positions on Earth's surface.
Alfred Wegener's support of continental drift was known as the theory of "continental drift," which proposed that the continents were once joined together as a single supercontinent called Pangaea and have since drifted apart.
The theory that the continents were once joined and then slowly drifted apart is called "continental drift." This theory was proposed by Alfred Wegener in the early 20th century and later developed into the theory of plate tectonics.
Continental Drift is an obsolete name for the theory of Plate Tectonics and yes, it is true. It has been proved in many ways, by comparing the composition of oceanic crust and its ages with that of the continental crust, by plotting the reversals of magnetism in the oceanic crust and many other ways.
