Are you talking about the Amazon? The output of the Amazon is so huge that fresh water flows out for (I believe) hundreds of miles from the river's mouth. People can be out in those waters and not even realize that they are on fresh water.
its the other way round though at the mouth of the river the waters mix so part way up the river there can be found traces of salt water some time during high tide the ocean water may flows in to the mouths of the rivers which may mix with the river water and makes it salty
A tributary is a small stream or body of water that flows into a larger body of water. Note that a tributary could also be a river, for example, the Missouri and Ohio rivers flow into the Mississippi river.a tributary (correct spelling) is basically a smaller river that flows into a larger river.
It could become a waterfall. Or if it just flows over onto more land then it becomes a river, not a stream.
a river
Like any other river, it flows downhill. Upper Egypt (south) has very high elevation and the Nile starts in Ethiopia which also has high elevation. The Nile flows down the river into Lower Egypt (north) and into the Mediterranean Sea. To be precise, the Nile starts in Burundi where its headwaters drains North through Rwanda, the Kagera river on the border of Rwanda-Tanzania and Tanzania Uganda, and into Lake Nyanza (a.k.a Victoria) which drains intop the Nile in Uganda
The stream of water which flows like a river through the ocean is a current. The Gulf Stream is the most significant such current which flows from the tropics to the northern latitudes.
It flows through inland landforms and eventually ends up in the ocean.
The water that flows in streams and rivers into the ocean and lakes is called runoff or freshwater.
Atlantic Ocean
Ultimately - it flows into a sea, or an ocean.
As more water flows through a river, its speed will increase.
The Warrego River flows into the Darling River, which is part of the larger Murray-Darling Basin in Australia. Ultimately, the water from the Warrego, through the Darling, eventually reaches the Southern Ocean.

A river ends its journy when it flows into a body of water such as a ocean or lake. Because the river water, such as an ocean or lake. Because the river water is no longer flowing downhill, the water slows down. Which makes sediment drop to the bottom. Sediment deposited where a river flows into into an ocean or lake builds upa landform called delta.
