It may be possessed by a demon! OR... Does it have a remote car starter installed? It may be faulty.
The ignition switch may be bad. The key goes into the ignition lock. There is usually a rod that goes down to the electrical switch on the steering column. check the electrical switch.
There may be a compression problem here. Get a test done, this will check condition of rings and valves.
I'm not a Mechanic and I am having the same problem with my Bronco. According to what I have been reading the part in question is the Ignition Lock Cylinder. Sometimes they get dirt in them and just need a little lubrication like WD40. I am going to try this on mine tonight and will let you know how it goes. If this doesn't fix the problem then you will probably have to replace it. my bronco has a stiff key to turn as well, if you were driving one day and your truck died, you could have a clogged fuel filter, or a bad fuel pump $175 new, i replaced my fuel pump by cutting a whole in the floor behind the back seat, wouldn't recommend that unless your confident your not going to cut the tank hoses. also if it trys to fire but wont quite catch and run, maybe new plugs?
The starter relay or the internal starter relay solenoid contact is closed either by 12 volts still applied to the relay or starter or the contacts have welded themselves together. Welded together sounds good if the starter is shorted and that would cause the cables to overheat also.

It is time to trade this puppy in for a Toyota or Honda!!!!!

you will need to get it checked ASAP, jut in case it really does start and drive away by itself
This is something that is almost impossible. If this is happening on your Ford Escort you have some serious wiring problems.
i broke the key off in the ignition. got it out and got a new key. now when i try to hook up battery it trys to start even with the run switch off.
there is a few ways. one is you can try and see if she trys to get glaces of you as you walk by or she trys to start a conversation with you.
Alton Towers trys to market itself towards everyone, but mainly markets itself as a family Resort.
A no start condition can be caused by a bad battery, bad connections on the battery, bad connections on the starter or ground and possibly by a bad neutral safety switch or ignition switch. Use a test light and see if your getting fire to the small wire on the starter when someone trys to start it. If you are, the starter is not working. If you aren't, check the ignition switch and the safety switch.
You need check some issues. 1.- Fuel pump (located under de back seat) 2.- Ignition coil 3.- distribution cap 4.- spark plug cables 5.-Hall sensor 6.- spark plugs I hope this can help you a little. BR
your starter might be stuck on

Engine, not motor. And what you're describing could be due to a number of causes. You need ignition, compression, and spark in order for the engine to fire. Check the distributor, spark plug cables, air filter, fuel pump, and fuel pump fuses and/or relays (which you have depends on what the vehicle is).
sometimes after a few trys it will start on it's own.
