i have a 86 with a 305 and OEM is 5w30 but if higher milage i would recommend heavyer I'll run 20w50 or straight 40 in summer with no problems but that's me also use 40 in winter once in a while hard to crank but after a couple of cranks it fires and have had no problems ut once again that's me
you can use 10w30 unless the milage is very high then use 10 w 50

The oil cap should tell you. If it is a replacement consult your manual. If all else fails, the most common is 5W30
It ultimately depends on what kind of a Cadillac you are looking for. If you want an Escalade I would say you should be able to get it for eight to ten thousand dollars. If you are looking for a DeVille I would say aboug six thousand.
