I use it a lot for cupboard doors. - Frankly, I wouldn't bother painting a countertop because no paint will stand up to daily use as a countertop and it will soon look tacky.. It's very easy to buy a sheet of laminate and fit it . Many stores sell 2x 4 sheets now.
