What part of a speech is last?

Usually a speech follows the following pattern:

• Introduction of topic
  
• Development of you position on the topic
  
• Identification of your conclusions
  
• Proposed future actions
  
• Summary of Purpose/Reasoning/Conclusions/Future activities
  

You might start with a brief lead in of who you are and conclude with a farewell or introduction of the question session. These are not really part of the speech

One instruction indicated the pattern to be:

• Tell the what you are going to tell them
  
• Tell them
  
• Tell them you just told them
  
• Retell them what you told then just like you said you would
  

That works too.
