Assuming we say that a "millionaire" means anyone with a NET WORTH of more than $1 million, about 9% of the total number of households in the US qualify, as of the 2011 tax year. Surveys of people asking about wealth and party affiliations show that the Republican party outnumbers the Democratic party in that demographic. For instance, for those reporting an annual income of $150,000 or more (which is a good estimate of $1 million or more net worth), Republicans outnumber Democrats by about 54% to 38% (the rest being Independents).

(because a lot of democrats feed off of welfare and pay no taxes). my answer: it is impossible to tell without access to I.R.S. tax forms. do NOT forget that Congress is full of millionaires who pay VERY few taxes be they Republican or Democrat. now IF the question were rephrashed,Republicans clamor for less taxes

Democratic
Actually, neither. They are sort of a third party but more closely aligned with the Republicans that the Democrats. I suppose one could call them ultraconservative Republicans.
The democrats. Look at the previous american history. If you see what president it is and what party they are in, that's your answer. Republicans may like war but, we aren't that consumed with it.
The Republican party
Democrats
The number of republicans and democrats on each committee are decided by the majority party. The party with more senators or representatives has more members on each committee.
