If it's latex, just soak your head in warm water for about ten minutes and then comb through it. The paint will just peel off with the comb. Not sure about oil-based paints. == If it's Latex, apply your regular conditioner before you shampoo & let it sit a bit, work it in with your fingers and then wash as usual... Should work fine, if it is stubborn use a hot oil treatment. For OIL based paint, use a hot oil treatment for your hair... If that is unavailable use warmed olive oil, or in a pinch peanut-butter. work it in well and let it soak in, then wash your hair as usual.

Next time comb conditioner through your hair before you start and wear a hat.

To get fabric paint out of hair on the head it is a good idea to shampoo as soon as possible. One thing that usually works for this type of stain is an oxygen based cleaner. Carpet cleaner similar to Oxyclean will work. Let it sit on the hair for a few minutes and shampoo normally.

As long as the paint is wet it will simply wash out with shampoo but once the paint dries...I use WD40. Just shake the can, spray a little on the hair, and rub. Most of the paint will dissolve and the rest should come out in the wash.

Mayonnaise. While this might seem rather strange, the oil from the mayonnaise will penetrate the hairshaft making it oily and loosening the paint. Comb carefully and the paint will come out without breaking the hair. This also works with gum.

Should I use oil or latex paint to repaint my adirondack chairs?

If you are going to paint you should first find out what kind of paint was origanlly used on the chairs. Latex paint over oil based paint has been known to peel and come off. I think latex is the better choice because it does not yellow or fade over time. This website outlines the pros and cons of latex and oil paints: http://www.hgtv.com/decorating/painting-101-oil-or-latex/index.html You should use exterior latex paint on your adirondack chairs. Exterior latex will allow outside moisture to evaporate, which will prevent blistering/peeling of the paint.
