Her style was a unique combination of abstract and representational. She used bold colors, and often painted prairie scenes of bones, or very large canvases of just one flower.

The medium she used was oils on canvas.

Georgia 'Keeffe in her mature years worked almost exclusively in oil. The subject she is best known for, flowers in close-up, could be labelled hyperrealism--an artistic style characterized by highly realistic graphic representation. Another one of her styles is abstract expressionism which is movement of abstract painting that emerged in New York City during the mid-1940s and got popular recognition in American art in the following decade; also called action painting.

Georgia O'Keeffe's paintings are most closely associated with Precisionism which is also known as Cubist Realism. It is a combination of cubism and realism. This American art movement began in 1920's and lasted until the end of the Second World War. Precisionism is a style of painting in which an object is depicted realistically with an emphasis on the geometrical form of the object. The choice of subject and style was accomplished with careful precision. The style of Precisionism soon gave way to Abstraction towards the middle of the 1940's. O'Keeffe's later paintings have been categorized as Modern--a period of art from the 1860's all the way through to the 1970's when artists began to step back from traditional art and be different and unorthodox. These styles represented some of her most favorable (and controversial) paintings such as Black Iris IV, Jack-in-the-Pulpit, and Summer Days. Her techniques were such as charcoal abstractions at first, but gradually extended her paintings to the medium of watercolor; by the fall of 1916, she had returned to a full supply of color. During this period she became increasingly talented with watercolor.

Answer 2:

Georgia O'Keeffe, especially with paintings like New York Night, 1928-29, remained connected to Precisionist ideals until the 1960s, although her best-known works are not closely related to Precisionism, and it would be inaccurate to state that O'Keeffe was entirely aligned with Precisionism.

All her flower paintings, which are her best known and most popular works, are far from Precisionism. They are a type of Realism.

I wouldn't recommend it. You can use a old wooden stick or even your backup stick but using your best one could damage the stick and then it wouldn't be your best stick!
