Kenojuak became one of the first women in Cape Dorset (the Capital of Inuit Art) to begin drawing in the late 1950's. She has created many carvings from soapstone and thousands of drawings, etchings, stone-cuts, and prints. They were soon all wanted by museums and collectors.
