This depends on what color ink the name is in, and how big it is. If it's in black, you'll need to come up with a design that has black in it and can really cover that up. If it's in any other color, purples and greens are the best for cover ups.
Your best bet would be to find a reputable shop in your area and go in and consult with a true artist. They can talk with you about things that you like, possible designs, and so on, and really custom design you a piece that will cover up the name.

covering with solid black is a bad idea. most of the time, you can still see the underlying tattoo. the rose is probably a good idea (organics make for GREAT coverups), but you should seek the advice of a well-experienced tattoo artist for any cover up.

Nothing you can do...A tattoo a permanent imprint under your skin. Short of covering it up with a much larger tattoo or laser treatment, it's there for life. Even laser treatment may not ever be able to remove all the ink, so some ink will never be removed. Of course you may cover it with clothing, but since a tattoo becomes a permanent part of you, mentally it will always be in your self image. Others who see it will forever associated you and your tattoo as the same.
