Vincent Van Gogh was a Dutch Post Impressionist painter.

Before totally directing his life to art, he worked as school teacher at a small boarding school, a clerk in a book store, for an art dealer, and was a preacher for a brief period. All of his work activity, in other than painting, and art, was extremely short-lived and limited, usually ending with a bitter, violent and angry disagreement.

He died at 37.
