From everything I have learned about him he was very smart and talented . He would often start a project but not finish it. All of his life he kept notes, wrote questions to find answers for, and wrote ideas. Over 4,000 of these pages still exist. Most of his life he was very poor needed sponsors to be able to live. He died in the French court.
If you wanted painting of your self done by him and he did not want to do it he would let you bother him and in the end you would get no where.
He did not like to paint but loved to invent and sculpturize things but when he ran out of mony he had to go back painting to earn some.
He was well wanted as a painter of peoples protrets but he did not entirely like to paint.
Once he dew a lady and was to fill it in with paint but he never did that. then he got a request to paint a protoret of merchents wife, and now that painting is known as The Mona Lisa.
Leonardo really enjoyed sitting and just thinking , in a quiet area , and when a thought came along that was interesting enough to study he would go and solve it. Hope that helps you out.
he was very calm and dint like company he preffered staying alone and doing what he did best
