He would use blacks, blues and dark greens, mix them in with the odd bright yellow here and there, creating a bold and clear paintings.
Friedensreich wasn't just an artist. He was a very skilled archaeologist as well.

Friedensreich Hundertwasser, at the age of 71, died February 19th 2000 after a heart attack. He was on board of the ship Queen Elizabeth 2. He was buried in the "Garden of the Happy Dead" from New Zealand, the country where he decided to settle.
Friedensreich Hundertwasser designed waiting houses to create more humane and aesthetically pleasing spaces for people in transit, such as at train stations or bus stops. He believed that architecture should enhance well-being and connect individuals with nature, so his waiting houses incorporated colorful designs, organic forms, and natural materials. By transforming these often overlooked structures into joyful, artistic environments, Hundertwasser aimed to elevate the experience of waiting and foster a sense of community and comfort.
