Leonardo da vinci preformed many expeirements to do with human aviation (flight) and the human body.
Some of his blueprints show gliders, but never actually constructed any of the ones he designed.
He was also interested in human anatomy; often drawing out the human body, helping to successfully desgin the human body in his paintings and drawings.
One of the quirks of Leonardo was that he wrote many of his notes using mirror writing. Some believe this was to keep his thoughts secret. More likely this was just from habit, as he was reported to do this at a very young age. Certainly it has given some of the translators of his notes an added challenge, and we cannot help but picture Leonardo looking down and smiling at their frustration. Certainly he had a wicked sense of humour, as the story of him using hidden bellows to inflate ox intestines to a huge size, forcing people in the same room into the corners, testifies..........Yashwanth
