I'm afraid I don't know the exact number, but I do know it was over 4'000 square kilometres in size.

However, if you're looking for the size of Ancient Sparta AFTER it conquered Messenia then it's closer to 8'000 square kilometres.

The whole of the Peloponnese itself was about 21'000 square kilometres so, after conquering Messenia, Sparta became the largest City-State in the Peloponnese; and the rest of Greece. (Athens, and Attica, only covered 2'500 square kilometres).
