most likely you have a collapsed valve lifter. try changing the oil and adding a high viscosity oil treatment. if problem persists, lifters, pushrod 's, rocker arms and valve springs must be removed for inspection, such as wear or a worn spring. sometimes taking of the valve covers's will reveal the source of the problem. another thing you can try is to take off spark plug wire at plug and run engine. engine will run rough, but if noise goes away, then the problem is associated with that set of valves.
Located in master cylinder and prevent air from being drawn in past the wheel cylinder cups when the brakes are released
A 4-cycle engine that has the intake and exhaust valves located in the cylinder head.
The valves in a car engine are opened and closed by a cam shaft driven by the engine crankshaft. they allow the flow of gases and fuel into the engine and the burnt gases out of the engine into the exhaust system.
There is one spring for each valve, if there are two intake and two exhaust valves per cylinder there will be twice as many springs per cylinder compared to an engine with one intake and one exhaust valve per cylinder.
