the colonists would have lost their rights and probably would've been pushed around again
I believe USA would have been defeated during the revolution if the articles had remained in place.
Basically, it was because not all of the 13 colonies agreed with it, and it didnt it was lacking in some areas, like it didnt have a bill of rights, so when we were under the articles of confederation the government could virtually make up and control our rights.
they described it as a weakness to some of the governments well to the executive branch the executive branch didnt like the articles of confederation
under tha Articles of Confederation, the federal government had little to no power. they could not control taxes and there was no president. The reason was that the early Founders did not want an overly powerful gvt.
slavery, drugs and animals
The Articles of Confederation are important because although they were weak in terms of government power, they were America's Second Constitution. **The weaknesses are the confederation could not make an army, made all the states have only one vote, there was no president, or a national court system.** (who ever answered this question first...I asked for the weakesses...and they are above and true...ur welcome..mine are wit the stars)

The central government was more limited under the Articles Of Confederation than under the Constitution. People did not trust the government to have too much power. It looks like they were right.
they didnt want a monarchy
lack of judicial system
1.They could not pass laws unless 3/5 of the states agreed 2. The government didnt have a lot of power
