Turtle shell and turquoise. I tried them before, and if you make the spots turquoise and in the right shape, it'll look great. My second choice would be light red and purple. They go good together, too.
It could be mould. If you don't turn on (or you don't have) a fan in the bathroom to remove steam, condensation can be left on the walls and black mould can grow where it is wet.
Sure you can but usually after about a year or so. Enamel is a soft paint and will load the paper. You paint with enamel so that you don't have to finish sand, in other words should be shiny when you are done. Use a fine grit of about 1000 and keep it wet so that it will cut easier. Keep an eye on the paper if little build ups of paint start appearing turn it over or start with a fresh peice. these paint spots will scratch the surface
Paint blue spots on it.

Brown spots may be coming through the paint due to moisture or oil-based stains seeping through the surface. It is important to properly clean and prime the surface before painting to prevent this issue.
