left ventricle
the body
The left Ventricle pumps blood out to your body
The aorta is the main artery that takes blood from the heart to the body. The aorta drains the left atrium.
the left ventricle pushes blood to the whole body from first the ascending aorta then into the descending aorta... it sounds confusing but its different names for the same structure. The aorta leaves the L vent. and arches upwards then travels downwards towards the hips, then bifurcates (splits) to the legs.
Oxygenated blood leaves the left side of the heart through the aorta, the largest artery and then to smaller arteries.Deoxygenated blood leaves the right side of the heart through the pulmonary artery then to arterioles and capillaries.
The aorta receives blood directly from the left ventricle of the heart.
After blood leaves the left ventricle, it goes through the aortic valve to be pumped throughout the body.

On the floor if you've just been stabbed in the right and/or left aorta!
Aorta and Pulmonary Artery
The oxygenated blood first enters the left atrium
The arteries, which are strong, flexible, and resilient, carry blood away from the heart and bear the highest blood pressures THE AORTA...IT THE FIRST "MAJOR" ARTERY THAT LEAVES THE HEART. 2nd would be the Pulmonary Veins (reversed arteries-veins) in the Respiratory system.

You have aorta or systemic aorta that arise from your heart. This very big artery arise from the left ventricle. You have a big pulmonary aorta, that arise from your right ventricle. The systemic aorta is the bigger than pulmonary aorta. Although both of them carry the same amount of blood.
