Simming at high tide is as safe as swimming at any other time. Whether the tide's in or out doesn't change the level of safety invovled.
low tide in the night high tide in the day
The Moon does infulence the ocean, as in moving from High to Low tide.
it is because at a high tide it is high waves and at a low tide it is smooth steady low water.
What happens is the moon (and possibly the sun) pull the water more strong than not, causing a high tide.
There is a high tide on the side of the Earth that is opposite to the Moon. This is because of the differences in the strength of the Moon's gravity felt at different places on Earth. The water on that far side is subject to a smaller gravitational pull than the center of the Earth and is so is "left behind", forming a tidal bulge. See the "related link" below.
It depends really on how confident you are as a swimmer. If you are capable of swimming in high tide then swim in high tide but if not swim at low tide.
Flood tide is when the ocean's water slowly rises to reach high tide.
high tide
Sand fleas, also known as beach hoppers, do not swim back to the ocean with the tide. They are not adapted for swimming in water and typically burrow into the sand or vegetation to avoid being swept away by the tide.
ocean water
High tide or low tide. There is also summer tide (I think) which is a really large tide, and a spring tide which is a very low tide.
Low tide is when the waves of the ocean dont reach as far inland, and high tide is obviously when the tide reaches farther inland. This depends on the moon as well.
Flood tide is when the ocean's water slowly rises to reach high tide.

The difference in levels of ocean water at high tide and low tide
Ocean tides rise and fall on a 12 or 13 hour cycle. High tide is the highest point of the tide.
Low tide is when ocean water recedes from the beach. High tide is when the ocean water climbs
