When painting a bedroom and using two colors which color should you paint first light or dark?

It really doesn't matter, but some things to consider:
If you are painting entire walls, you just have to be careful when painting the area where the two colors meet.
If the painting is being done with a difference in height, paint the highest color first.

Generally, the way it is done is to paint the wall one color, let it dry, apply masking tape to protect the edges of the areas you don't want to cover, and then apply the second color in the other areas. When you remove the masking tape, you will have a clean, sharp line between the two colors. You don't have to be limited to straight lines, if you get creative cutting the tape. Alternatively, some people make stencils to create patterns.
