I highly recommend some intensive studies in HTML, Javascript and Actionscript. Then i would also take a course in Graphic design as these are ESSENTIAL for making a decent looking website. If you cannot invest this time, i suggest hiring a person who already has.

I met an old guy who was still doing education courses in his 70's and early 80's. He was a World War 2 vet born in England, living in Australia, and he had a very keen mind.
