When will robots inherit the Earth?

Science FICTIONMatrix, as you well know, is Science Fiction, as I seriously doubt that the earth will be around long enough for anything close to the Matrix will be even feasibe/possible.

Sure, we have hybrid cars that use electicity and gas, but the stuff of sci-fi is, even now, a good ways off.

Also, even the possibility that robots could inherit the earth would mean that man could build such a thing, which is impossible, as the concept of entropy is all too true. Fyi, entropy is a word that says that all things are dying or winding down, and that is certainly true for man, as humans begin to die as soon as they are born.

One more thing, the mere fact that machines break down all too often, regardless of preventive techniques, means that until we try to built things that need practically no upgrades or repairs, the new world order by robots is just and will continue to be only a figment of our vain imaginaton. Man will never build something this great, if our brains cannot truly figure out how to build Stonehenge and the pyramids, or even how to really solve these enigmas at last, which may never happen.

Entropy is not that things are dying. Entropy is the increase of disorder in the universe. Increased disorder makes more things possible. If things are perpetually "dying or winding down", then looking at the individual is completely myopic. Looking at the whole of humanity and all life on earth, life is becoming ever more diverse, both human and other.

As to the ability for humans to construct robots that would "inherit the earth", all they would have to do is wipe out the dominant species: human beings.

If there is any robot that we make that will inherit the earth, it will be a genetically engineered biological weapon.

As for the Matrix idea, it is not science fiction. THERE IS NO SPOON.
