There are different types of molds and so different types of clay work best in specific molds. Plaster molds are generally used with clay in liquid form, known as slip. In this type of mold, the porous plaster absorbs water and the solid clay is deposited on the inside of the mold, allowed to stiffen and then the mold is disassembled and the casting removed and trimmed. Slump molds or hump molds are generally used with clay slabs and the clay depends on what you are looking for in the end results: porcelain, stoneware, low-fire clay etc.
you can use modeling clay, well at least that is what i used
If you intend to fire the clay item the following sometimes works:- Mix a little powdered clay with some sodium silicate and use as a sticky 'glue'. It is best to test this idea on scrap dry clay pieces and test-fire them to see the result before using on the best item. It may not always work and will not be invisible. Be warned!
you take a piece of clay and use it on a bucket of water, voila, soft clay.
I would use alcohol then re-due whatever the mold covered.
my opinion is that if your looking for good clay to make charms or keychains i advise you to use sculpy or fimo Soft dont get original its too hard but both Sculpy and Fimo are name brand and are really good. You can buy them at michaels or any other art supply store and remember to wash your hands and wipe down the surface your working on before you use any light colors because they can easily catch lint and dirt so be careful, Hope i helped Bye ;]~

I have to make a model of a porcupine for my science project and what I'm planning to do is get some brown clay, mold the shape of a porcupine, then get toothpicks and stick them in the clay as the quills, and use black and white clay for details like eyes.
The best way to get rid of black mold is to use bleach containing products. The mold causes severe allergic reactions in people who have breathing problems.
The best molds are probably silicone, which you can buy in small pots and pour like plaster of paris. If you can't afford or get your hands on it, an alternative would be modelling clay, with a layer of Seran Wrap/Cling Film over the top. Push you positive (What you want the chocolate to look like) into the clay several times, then fill it with molten chocolate. Once it's hardened, pull the film away and it will carry the chocolate with it.This won't give a very good mold, as it will be low in detail and have the wrinkles of the plastic in it, but at least it's something!
deidaras element is earth, because in one of the episode kakashi finds out his weakness of how he produces his clay. he use the earth and mixes it with his chakra to mold it into reshapable clay.
Clean it every two weeks. Be sure your filter is working properly. In some aquariums, the use of snails or mold-feeding fish may help.
Bleach does not kill mold and the water content in it will make the mold worse. Vinegar is better at killing mold than bleach if used pure. The best is to buy a product made to kill mold.
You take clay and tools and use them to mold the clay into different forms. Depending on what you want to make it differs. However, you have to use slip as an adhesive (slip is a mix of dry clay and water). Using the pottery wheel is a whole different story however. I'm not sure which you were refering to though. Please be more specific next time.
