Not sure what kind of map or directions you are needing.
If you just want directions I would suggest using mapquest.com and click on their "directions" tab, then enter in the place you are leaving from and the place you are going to. It will load it up for free for you to print out, and you can tell it do show you a map of how to get back home (starting place).

I'm assuming you don't have a GPS, but those are also a good tool, and are probably by far the best for many different reasons. One is that sometimes road construction/detours prevent a problem, and you can tell it to find you a new path, or missing a corner on a buisy road and can't find your way back is another problem.
