You can SOMETIMES find this in drug stores, or places where they sell a lot of first aide equipment, but for the most part it is easier to procure this from online stores like eBay. There you can get 2 gallon jugs to just a few quarts if that be your desire. You can also get Madacide, and everything else under the sun to do tattoos in the most hygienic and professional way possible.

Can dial antibacterial soap be used as green soap?

It's not a replacement for the medical grade strength of green soap, but it is a satisfactory alternative.

Where can you buy green soap?

Pharmacy, I got mine from CVS

What can you use other than green soap on the skin when you tattoo someone?

Any sort of antibacterial soap works fine such as Dial or Provon. I know a lot of artists who love to use Dove soap as well. That is not to say that anything effectively matches the antiseptic properties of the Green Soap, but you can use this to supplement so you're not burning through it so quick.

What should a tattoo artist use to clean the skin before and after a tattoo?

In many instances a good wipe down of medical grade green soap before and after the tattoo is the standard for many artists. The artist will apply the soap solution to the skin before he or she shaves the area to be tattooed and will be wiping it a lot throughout the tattoo with the same solution. After the tattoo is complete, the area will be thoroughly cleaned with the green soap and will then be wrapped in a sterile dressing.

Can green board be painted?

Yes it can, but first you need to prepare the surface for the new paint. # Make sure the green board is free of grease, dirt and loose particles, -wiping with a sugar soap solution removes grease. # 'Kill' the green color by applying a white undercoat, or a white first coat. This is necessary, otherwise the green will always spoil the color of the top coat, and you'll never get it right.
