Generally speaking apartment complexes anywhere in the United States are reluctant to rent out to convicted felons. But many apartment complexes will rent out to such if the offense was nonviolent in nature, it's been a long time since the offense occurred or since the person has been released from any state sanctions, which ever occurred later, and i if the convicted felon has otherwise developed an excellent credit history. That being said, if you are convicted felon you are better off trying to rent an apartment or house from an individual landlord, who may be more lax than apartment complexes are at tenant selection.
Usually when an apartment is refurbished that means it is either getting new furniture or being fixed.
Depends on if your apartment community reported to the credit bureau's as being a late payment. Most of the apartments where I have lived, didnt report it when I was a month late. Apartments usually get you if your late constantly or evicted from the apartment. You could ask your landlord if they reported it as being late.
Being that you do not hold ownership, but just simply help pay for the rent it is perfectly legal to do so. Unless he still has your stuff in his apartment it would be considered theft and therefore, he commited a suable crime.

American Guard & Alert in Anchorage Alaska is no longer in business. They were owned by Wackenhut Security in Coral Gables, FL. American Guard and Alert also known as AGA provided various security functions, the main being security for the Alyeska Pipeline Service Co. Their address was 1413 Hyder St. in Anchorage. Alyeska operates the Trans-Alaska Pipeline for several owner oil companies. Some years ago, AGA merged with Ahtna Corporation, a native conglomerate in the interior of Alaska. AGA became Ahtna AGA and continued to provide pipeline security. ln November of 1999, they lost the contract to Doyon Universal Services and that division of Wackenhut Security was closed.
