1962 he moved to Paris.

In 1870 he and his wife went to England, after that to Zaandam, the Netherlands.

From December 1871 to 1878 they lived at the village of Argenteuil, then moved to Vétheuil.

From 1883 until his death Monet lived in Giverny.
