When was Greek architecture developed?

Excellent architectural structures we can find in the Minoan civ (the second greek civ) during the 3rd millennium BC (starting in 2700 BC). Suburb use of light, polythira (πολύθηρα) a series of stone revolving doors, internal pluming and heating ( both discovered earlier but independent (Harappan (indus valley civ) and north Korean ondol). The following Mycenean civ didnt make significant advances in architecture nor does the archaic period, though we find beautiful ηρώα (heroon): mausoleums of heroes. During the period of city states (starting in the 9th century BC) we can see the classical greek architecture forming. The temple of Artemis (present day Turkey), the mausoleum of Hallicarnaseus (also present day Turkey) and the Parthenon are such examples.

Sculptor of The Discus thrower?

The original Greek bronze by Myron of Eleutherai was lost, and all that survive are the Roman marble (and other) copies we see today. There are links to posts on the Discobolus (or Discobolos) and you can use them to see the sculpture and get more information on this recognizable piece of classic art.

Did the Crusaders see Gothic architecture in the Ottoman Empire?

Yes and No. The Crusaders saw Gothic architecture in territories that would eventually become Ottoman, but the Ottoman Empire did not exist during most of the Crusades and when it did, it was small and out of the way.

Where do you see architecture evidence in the daily life?

All buildings and most permanent structures are examples of architecture, from your house to your school or office building. Any man-made place that defines a difference between interior and exterior is a form of architecture. Old houses are often evidence of informal vernacular architecture, when the craftsmen in a community got together and pretty much built the same house over and over again, while the work of formally trained architects is most evident in museums, cathedrals, hospitals, skyscrapers and other buildings with more technical requirements. An architect will impart an aesthetic sense to a building, technical knowledge of durable construction, and an understanding and orchestration of space and its use.

How has ancient Egyptian architecture influenced modern day architecture?

The question of how architecture of such antiquity has influenced modern architecture is more one of evolution than direct influence, although in parts of the middle east a more direct influence can be seen in the modern buildings of today, with a distinct regional style that one would not see in the west, normally. Essentially architecture, like all art and technology, has evolved over the centuries: Egyptian architecture influenced Greek; Greek influenced Roman; Roman produced the basis of classical architecture which still forms the basis of proportion and scale still seen in much of architecture today. However, there are very many other influences, including less formal styles of architecture, in particular regional 'vernacular' characteristics. These are seen more in less 'designed' buildings, but have also crept into formalised architecture since the Victorian period, most particularly in the Arts and Crafts movement - Lutyens, Morris et al. It is also important to note that true modernist architecture - that seen since the early 20th century, doesn't conform to many of the accepted architectural rules of proportion and rhythm which resulted from classical architecture. I am not an Architect, so perhaps a proper Architect out there can add to this, and/or correct if I'm wrong in anyway.
