Hello, Unaware of an Albert oil Mt Gillen. Do you have a reference or cite for this work? There is only one oil ever attributed to Namatjira however not titled Mt Gillen. Be very interested to know. Many Thanks All the best Arthur Palmer
Hi, I have an unsigned oil painting of Mt Gillen with a gum in the foreground of it. It is painted from the same angle that Albert Namatjira painted one of his watercolours of Mt Gillen. It is very similar but not as crisply painted as his watercolours. I bought it because I liked his work but would not be able to have an original. I suppose all of Albert's paintings would be signed. It would be a long shot but I don't suppose this could be the oil painting you asked and answered about. Any information on my painting would be great, thanks.
